NorthWest Carrollton is probably closer to 80% recovered than 89%.
We still have a significant number of houses that are:
- under repair or
- boarded and not being worked on or
- empty lots.
The empty lots are from:
- houses that have been torn down, many against the opposition of the neighborhood, some because they were allowed to decay beyond all hope of repair before something was done or
- the February 2007 Tornado or
- the Post Katrina fire that took out almost the entire block Carrollton-Fig-Dublin-Pritchard Place.
